Ski mountaineering race
At the foot of the Aiguille Verte and the Drus, come challenge yourself up the 2040m to the summit of the Aiguille des Grands Montets.
An action packed circuit offering all facets of mountain skiing and ski mountaineering (for the more athletic), starting on a closed piste which takes you into the Argentière basin at the Point de Vue. Admire the glacier’s serac waterfall before tackling the wilder, more alpine part of the route to reach the Rachasses ridge.
Skis on your back, you traverse the ridge separating the Chamonix Mont-Blanc valley from its high mountain world, for an intensely immersive experience…
A quick transition and skis back on to the final, steeper and more technical part of the route, at the summit of the Aiguille des Grands Montets.
An intense, varied and breathtaking route designed by the TDG team, with the reward of an epic descent straight down the North Face of Grands Montets to the Lognan plateau.
